Race Report- Greenfield Dragway, May 23-25, 2014
Is the heat on? NO! Welcome to spring 2014 and another weekend of single digit temperatures for the season opener at Greenfield Dragway. That did not stop 131 competitors however, all anxious to get back on track and take advantage of some fantastic early season air.
In Saturday action Mike Mattice from Middle Sackville, NS defeated Blockhouse's John Croft to claim the victory in the Box category while Mike Ingram; also from Middle Sackville, took out Brian Robar from Caledonia in No Box. In the Sport Compact class George Joudrey drove his Mazda to victory over PEI's Gus Longaphie, and Logan Power from Lower Sackville was the Junior Dragster winner.
For Sunday's eliminator 31 Super Pro, 39 Pro, 19 Sportsman, 7 Bike / Sled, 9 Sport Compact and 4 Junior Dragsters were on the ladder for round one. Here are the results:
