NSDRA is happy to announce the details for the fifth and final event at Greenfield Dragway set for September 22-24. This has been a tough season for all tracks around the Maritimes this summer so we are anxious to end our season on a high note. Hi-lights for the upcoming race include extended time trials on Friday, the ADRA Team race AND the Annual Bracket Bash on Saturday and then the ADRA & Greenfield points race on Sunday. It’s a full slate of racing action and a great way to close out the season!

Event Schedule:

Friday, September 22

2pm        Tech opens

4pm        Open time trials until dusk

Saturday, September 23

8:30am                  Tech opens

9:00am                  Time trials by class, one session

10:30am                 Round 1 ADRA team race

11:30am                 Round 2 ADRA team race

12:30 pm               Bracket Bash round one (Run order box, no box, junior)

1:30 pm                 ADRA team race / bracket bash eliminations to completion

Note: Due to time constraints there will be no buy-backs or double-dip; team racers can enter bracket bash.

Sunday, September 24

8:30am                  Tech opens

9:00am                  Time trials by class, one session

11:00am                 Qualifying all classes

1:00pm                  ADRA and Greenfield series eliminations to completion

Saturday Bracket Bash Details:

Here are the Super Saturday specifics and payout structure examples (keeping in mind the # of entries will change the purse for the winner and runner-up. Semi, quarter and round of 16 payouts are set amounts).

Entry fee is $40, No buy-backs Can only enter one class Team race participants welcome to enter Box and No Box (Delay box/device must be removed from vehicle, this includes adj buttons) Open to all race vehicles, including motorcycle and snowmobile Random pairing until quarter-finals then laddered based-on previous round reaction time All entry fee and sponsor money is paid-out Payouts extend back to round of 16! If any class having 4 cars or less remaining is halted due to darkness or weather then the eliminator will be completed Sunday morning between time trials and qualifying. Conversely, if the first round is completed in any category and MORE than 4 cars remain then the purse is split and paid out to all remaining competitors. Box and No Box winner run off for the Whynot Performance & Mechanical King of the Hill Perfect Reaction Time Award during Bracket Bash sponsored by Mick’s Auto Repair Best Appearing Race Vehicle award sponsored by Noddy Island Fisheries Junior dragster gamblers with $500 purse. $10 entry fee Racer’s appreciation supper Saturday evening

Pay-out Structure:

In both classes’ semi-final losers win $400, quarter-final losers get $200 and round of 16 losers earn $100 each. These are set amounts regardless of car count. The remaining funds are split with 70% to the winner and 30% to the runner-up in each class. Also, the sponsorship money is split 60/40 between Box and No Box.

Here are two examples based on the # of entries in 2016:

Box Class with 60 entries:

60 entries x $40= $2400

Sponsor funds (60% of $8000) = $4800

Total purse in Box = $7200
