NSDRA was recently made aware that the private sale of the South Shore Regional Airport was not proceeding and there is now an opportunity for the NSDRA to purchase the airport at a reduced price to make it the permanent home of Greenfield Dragway.

Municipal Council will discuss the matter at its regular meeting on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, and if supported, will hold a Public Hearing about the sale on December 13,2022. A public hearing is a legal requirement of the municipality in order to sell it to us for less than the appraised cost. If Council agrees to the sale to us on December 13th, we could be the full owner of the property in
January 2023.

We also recognize the contribution that the South Shore Flying Club (SSFC) has made in operating the airport facility on behalf of the municipality for the past number of years. Once we obtain ownership, we will meet with the SSFC to work out future airport operational needs so that the two groups can continue to use the
airport safely and work out an arrangement on paying for its costs to
operate.

NSDRA MEETING AND AWARDS NOVEMBER 19TH!

After a great season at Greenfield Dragway we'll put a wrap on the year with our annual fall meeting and awards. We are taking a bit different approach this time around, a bit less formal...and best of all IT'S FREE TO ATTEND!

We'll start off at 3pm with the annual fall meeting to review the 2022 race season and share plans for 2023. From there we'll have a bite and share a few laughs before handing out some hardware at 6pm.

Here are all the details:
Date: Saturday, November 19th
Time: 3pm Fall Meeting
5pm Chicken and pizza party
6pm Awards
Location: Liverpool Fire Hall, 520 Main Street in Liverpool

Please spread the word in the racing community; current and new members welcome as well as all our invaluable volunteers!

If you are planning to come to the Fall AGM & Awards Ceremony please let us know by messaging the Facebook page with your name & the name of who is coming with you. This is so we can plan accordingly for food between the AGM & Awards.
